Grand Prize Winner Robert Desantos, Jr.
Congratulations to Robert DeSantos Jr. for his Grand Prize-winning image. "Flood Warning" is one of a series he started in 2011, which is based on personal fears and recent dreams. The inspiration for this shot came directly from his commute to and from work. DeSantos travels through the Holland Tunnel beneath the Hudson River, connecting New York and New Jersey, and alwyas has a "what if" thought about the walls giving way and letting in torrents of water. This image represents his worst-case scenario.
